The BBC Sport website reaches more than 12 million unique users per week across the globe, so it’s been a privilege to work as a freelance writer and editor at Quay House in Salford since October 2014.
The experience from my years at Manchester United has afforded me plenty of opportunities on the football side, but the breadth of coverage required of the site means I’ve turned my hand to everything from Six Nations rugby and Ashes cricket to horse racing and Paralympic track and field.
